Which top scorers are on the home page

Once the season starts, the top scorers on the Home Page show the top goalscorers (League goals only) in the whole of the League. For top scorers in each division you should visit the Divisions tab on the Home Page. For top scorers in your own Team you should visit the Teams tab on the Home Page. Don't forget to become a Registered User to be able to view some of this data. It's quick, free and easy to Register.

What method is used to calculate "Best Home Record" and "Best Away Record"

These statistics are calculated on "Points Gained" and then "Goal Difference". While a different number of matches may have been played by Teams during the season which will affect this data, it is the only simplistic method of tabulation without having to utilise numerous/onerous "weighting" measures. By the end of the season all Teams should have played the same number of League matches both at home and away.

Football

Why do under 8s not have a full league table

The Football Association have decreed that Under 8 football (and any age groups below) must not be "competitive". In this case "competitive" means that FULL League Tables may not be produced and the age group must be classified as "friendly".

Why do some league tables and grids have resigned teams pre-season

It is important to make members aware that certain Divisions show an imbalance of Teams, due to the resignation of Teams "pre-season". Where League Tables and Results Grids (RES) currently show a resignation, the Team has actually resigned before the first kick-off date but AFTER the season's League fixtures have been produced. This may also involve Teams receiving "byes" into further Rounds of the T.J.F.A. League Cup as the draw may have been carried out prior to a Team resigning. Resignations which occur during the playing season will also be depicted on the League Tables and the Results Grids (RES) with slightly different terminology on the League Table.

Why does it sometimes show DAW or DHW on the League Results Grids?

Some matches are referred to the Conduct Committee of the League. When decisions are reached there are occasions where points are "awarded" without the match being played. On those occasions either DAW or DHW will be noted on the Results Grids. DAW equates to "Default Away Win" and DHW equates to "Default Home Win". League Tables are automatically adjusted to show that the game has been played by both Teams and that the points have been awarded to either the Home Team or the Away Team, hence DAW or DHW.
